Suggestion:Restart Lx Talk to inject new vitality

I discovered during archaeology that we had a LxTalk project that seemed to have been discontinued last year.

It seems that we can restart it, LXDAO focuses on developing valuable projects, and podcasts are an effective way to showcase the results of these projects。

  • Regularly update project progress: Through podcasts, regularly showcase the latest project progress and achievements within the DAO to the outside world, allowing supporters and potential investors to better understand the development dynamics of LXDAO.

  • Highlight innovation: Share innovative solutions, development challenges, and solutions in the project to showcase the strength and value of LXDAO to the outside world.

We can adjust the update frequency of LxTalk to one update per month, which will not consume a lot of our experience. All of this can be considered as adding more surprises to the audience.

What do you think?

It’s great to see new ideas on the forum!
But I feel that podcasts are more suitable for relaxed and chat-oriented content. Displaying projects and achievements and sharing technical solutions are too serious. These contents will be displayed at the LXDAO weekly community call (recorded on YouTube). In addition, I feel that podcasting is something that requires a long period of investment (maybe more than a year) to see some impact.

Podcasts are indeed a new way of communication, but are there any specific plans?
I’m more in favor of a reboot.

Yes podcasting takes a long time to see results. The impact of a podcast may not be felt in the short term, but in the long term podcasts provide a less formal form of content that is more likely to attract listeners who are curious about Web3 but not yet deeply involved. These listeners may later convert into active community members.

I didn’t think very comprehensively but we can start the discussion around the following ideas.

One year podcast plan

Target:

  1. Create a casual, chat-based podcast that engages and listens to developers and Web3 enthusiasts inside and outside the LXDAO community.
  2. Update the podcast content every month and gradually build a stable audience group.

Using the legacy of LxTalk we can easily start over.
But we still have to do some exercises.

Q1: Podcast launch and pilot phase
Goal: Launch a podcast, experiment with different content formats, and gather early feedback.
Invite community members or Web3 developers as guests to discuss their interesting stories in Web3, industry trends, etc.
We can talk about some relaxed topics such as “Weird projects in the Web3 world” or “The pitfalls of getting started with Web3.”

Our main goal in the first quarter is to become proficient in using various tools to produce and distribute podcasts, solicit feedback from listeners within and outside the community, and understand what everyone thinks about content, format, pacing, etc. and make timely adjustments.

Q2: Stable output and content optimization
Goal: Gradually develop a stable podcast rhythm and optimize content and guest lineup.
Invite Web3 developers or industry celebrities from outside the LXDAO community to expand the reach of your podcast.
Expand to explore light-hearted topics, such as “Interesting Facts about Web3 Life” or “How to Make Your Family Understand What You’re Doing.”
We can also try to include interactive sessions with listeners in the podcast to make it more interesting.

Our goal for the second quarter is to update a podcast every month, maintain a stable rhythm of content output, further optimize the content of the podcast through diversifying guests and enriching topics, and track data such as podcast downloads, listening volume, and user feedback. Learn about podcast popularity and trends

Q3: Expanding reach and diversifying content
Goal: Attract more listeners, increase the visibility of the podcast, and experiment with more innovative content formats
Plan a podcast with a special theme, such as “The Story of Female Web3 Developers” or “The Collision between DAOs and Traditional Organizations”
Try collaborating with other Web3 communities or projects to record podcasts to spread influence across communities
In addition to chatting and story sharing, you can try interesting sessions such as relaxed debates and quick questions and answers to make the podcast more interesting.

Our main goal in the third quarter is to add more playability and interactivity, and spread LxTalk through cross-border communication.

Q4: Fourth quarter year-end summary and year-end special edition
Record a special anniversary podcast to summarize the harvest and interesting moments of the year and share them with listeners.

Resource requirements
Equipment: basic recording equipment (microphone, headphones), recording and editing software.
Manpower: 1-2 members for recording and post-production.
Time: Record one issue per month, with approximately 60-90 minutes of preparation and recording time for each initial issue.
Compensation: We would also like to apply for some funds to provide compensation for podcast producers and guests after the second quarter to encourage production and foreign currency guest gifts.

Based on your additional description, I’m really interested in such a podcast! I also think it has great potential, but it seems that the current obstacle is the lack of hosts . If you were to host the topics mentioned, do you have anyone in mind? Most tech hosts expect some form of compensation (after all, time is money), while interest-based external hosts are quite broad, making it hard to set a standard. As an enthusiast, I dream of speaking to the public one day, but I’m still too shy at the moment.

I’m very interested in participating in organizing such a podcast, and if needed, we can chat privately (@ztm0929) to discuss further. PS: My English is terrible .
